Liability for content
According to Section 7, Paragraph 1 of the German Telemedia Act, Secondlife is responsible for its own content on these pages in accordance with general law. According to Sections 8 to 10 of the TMG, however, Secondlife as a service provider is not obliged to monitor third-party information that is transmitted or stored, or to research circumstances that indicate illegal activity.
Obligations to remove or block the use of information in accordance with general laws remain unaffected. Liability in this regard is only possible from the point in time at which we become aware of a specific legal violation. Secondlife will remove this content immediately upon becoming aware of such legal violations. Secondlife also reserves the right to remove content without giving reasons or to exclude individual users from using the platform.
Liability for links
The platform contains links to external third-party websites, the content of which Secondlife has no influence on. Therefore, Secondlife cannot accept any liability for this third-party content. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of the linked pages. As soon as it becomes aware of legal violations, Secondlife will remove such links immediately.
Disclaimer of liability
Secondlife only provides the platform and is not liable for the legal transactions carried out via the platform. Users should therefore assess the reliability of other users for themselves before dealing with them.
Data protection:
Secondlife takes the protection of personal data very seriously. The following explains how Secondlife handles personal data:
1. When visiting the website:
General
Secondlife generally only collects and uses personal data of users insofar as this is necessary for the provision of a functional website as well as the content and services. The collection and use of personal data of the users takes place regularly only on the basis of the prior consent of the user or a contract concluded with the user. An exception applies in those cases in which it is not possible to obtain consent for factual reasons or the processing of the data is permitted by other legal regulations.
Provision of the website and creation of log files
Each time the website is called up, the system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the calling computer.
The following data is collected:
• Request (file name of the requested file) (e.g. www.example.de/index.html)
• Browser type / version
• Browser language (e.g. German)

• Internal dissolution of the browser window
• Screen resolution
• Javascript activation

• If necessary, form contents (in the case of free text fields, e.g. name and password, only the information "filled in" or "not filled in" is transmitted).
The data is stored in the system's log files. The evaluations of these log file data records in anonymous form serve to ensure a smooth connection to the website and convenient use of the website, to evaluate system security and stability and for other administrative purposes. The legitimate interest in data processing according to Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR lies in these purposes. This is also the legal basis for the processing. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context.
The data stored in log files will be deleted after 7 days / 30 days at the latest.
Use of cookies
The website uses so-called cookies in several places. Cookies are small text files that can be placed on the computer and saved by the browser. This data will not be merged with other data sources unless this serves to fulfill a contract concluded with the user, the user has given express permission for this or there is a legal or other justification basis. When a user calls up a website, a cookie can be stored in the browser on the user's device. This cookie contains a characteristic string of characters that enables the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is called up again.
Most of the cookies used are so-called "session cookies", which are deleted when the user ends his browser session. There are also some long-lasting cookies that Secondlife uses to recognize the user as a visitor. Cookies do not cause any damage to the computer and do not contain viruses.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies is Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR. Secondlife uses cookies, which are necessary in particular for the functionality of the website. For these purposes, there is a legitimate interest in the processing of personal data according to Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR.
Cookies are stored on the user's computer and transmitted from there to the website. Therefore, users also have full control over the use of cookies. You can deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies by changing the settings in the Internet browser. Cookies that have already been saved can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for the website, it is possible that not all functions of the website can be used in full.

If users use the options and get in contact with Secondlife, Secondlife uses the data to answer the inquiries and to get in contact with the user. For these purposes, there is a legitimate interest in the processing of personal data according to Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR, which also represents the legal basis for the processing of the data.
The personal data entered will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. This can vary depending on the request. At the latest, however, the data will be deleted after the retention periods under tax law (six or ten years).
2. Registration
Registration is required in order to be able to use Secondbikelife in full. The following data is collected during the registration process and when you use Secondbikelife later:
- Personal data: name, email address, telephone number, street
- Account data: user name, password (stored in encrypted form)
- The descriptive text that the user can write about themselves
- The offers and requests that the user sent to the service
- The feedback given and received
- Statistical data on service usage, e.g. number of times the user logs in
Some personal data are visible on the user's profile page, but this information is voluntary (except for your name).
The legal basis for processing the above-mentioned data is Article 6 (1) b) GDPR (contract). If the account is deleted, the above-mentioned personal data will also be deleted immediately. The user can delete the data at any time. The data can also be changed at any time.
3. Data transfer
Secondlife does not transmit data to third parties unless Secondlife is legally obliged to do so (e.g. when requested by law enforcement authorities) or Secondlife needs them to carry out business processes or uses them as part of an order processing agreement. The data can also be stored on servers that are not located in Germany, but in the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA). The legal requirements are observed in all cases.
4. Rights of data subjects
Users have the right to information about the processing of personal data concerning them,
a right to data portability and, if applicable, rights to deletion, correction, restriction of
